Junior Golf Qualification Tournament May 15, 2011

This year's Junior Qualifying Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Oliver's Nest Golf Course, Oakwood, Ontario. The qualifyer is open to all youth (boys and girls) aged 10 - 18 years. (Eighteen year olds must not turn 19 years before July 31, 2011). Age groups for competition are as follows -

10 - 11 years
12 - 13 years
14 - 15 years
16 - 18 years

Cost $45 until April 29th – 18 holes. $60 after April 29th. Participants will also have the opportunity to vie for a position on the Durham Junior Golf Tour

Optimist Junior Golf: Central Ontario District Tournament

The top golfer in each group will be sent to the Central Ontario District Tournament which is held in June 25th at the Caledon Country Club (Inglewood, ON). The top scorers at Caledon will qualify for an all expenses paid trip to the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships held in July/August at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The category winners from Caledon, from other age groups may also qualify, (and may travel to the OIJGC in Florida at their own expense,) based on their scores at Caledon.
July 21-26, 2011: Boys 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, Girls 10-12, 13-14
July 26-31, 2011: Boys 16-18, Girls 15-18

All of the money raised by the Optimist Club of Brooklin goes back into programs and helps with all the events we do as "Friends of Youth" in Brooklin.
