Summer Day Camp 2011
Our Summer Camp program will give your child (ages 6-12) the opportunity to enjoy a summer outdoors while participating in a variety of activities. The camp will run Jul 4 to Sep 2/11 (9 weekly sessions) from 9:00am - 4:30pm daily in Brooklin Memorial Park (next to the arena). After hours supervision is available for an extra fee. Activities may include:

  • Soft Sports: soccer, baseball, basketball, frisbee, tennis
  • Games: cards, board games, relays and races
  • Exploring Nature: hikes, creek walks & exploration, observation tours
  • Creative Activity: play acting, singing, crafts, etc.
  • Wednesday outings or on-site carnival
  • Friday BBQ lunch

Program will be adapted each week to meet the needs of the youth participants. Rain days will be held at Luther Vipond Memorial Arena. Youth must provide their own bag lunch and snacks.

Optimists, Bringing out the best in kids

CIT Counsellor in Training Program 2011
This program is specifically designed for youth aged 13-16 interested in seeking future work as a camp counsellor. The program has been developed over a 4 year period and will run one three-week session this summer. The session will run Jul 11-Jul 29/10 from 9:00am - 4:30pm daily in Brooklin Memorial Park (next to the arena). The fee for 3 weeks is $325 and include uniform t-shirt and participation in Wednesday outings. A select number of successful candidates will be invited to continue volunteering at no extra cost.
